The Association is organized exclusively to further the common good and general welfare of the Toad Lake community and to enhance the quality of Toad Lake by:• supporting and conducting research, education and informational activities• determining and carrying out actions• acting as liaison between its membership and local, state and federal governments, agencies and organizations
PHYSICAL CHARACTERISTICS AND LOCATION OF TOAD LAKE
Toad Lake (#03-0107) is located in Becker County, approximately seventeen miles east of Detroit Lakes, Minnesota. Toad Lake has a surface area of 1,716 acres with a maximum depth of 29 feet. Approximately 561 acres (33 percent) of lake is within the littoral zone (having a depth of less than 15 feet). Historical water clarity averages 10.8 feet. Toad Lake is the tenth largest lake in Becker County and among the top 20 large lakes in the Otter Tail River Watershed. It has an elongated basin with a north-south orientation.
